Traditional Drawing (Week one - David Hyde) Today, we focused on technical exercises, mainly to do with line. There were some pieces of work that I was quite proud of and some that I was not so keen on. This will be explained next to the image. Subject drawn without grid Subject drawn without grid After being suggested to draw thumbnails with a grid, I missed  . the opportunity to create a grid for my main piece. This would have helped the composition stay intact. Though I didn't find it particularly difficult to draw without a grid, I was soon to find out that the grid would have been a very useful asset to have. Especially when I had to scale up my work from thumbnail size to fill half/all the page. Moving forward, as a guideline I shall use a grid to make sure that my composition and scale aligns with my thumbnail
